Plot Summary
This movie is based on the early life of an English novelist Jane Austen. Set in the later 1700’s the movie focuses on the romantic relationship between Jane Austen a beautiful, emerging writer and Tom Lefroy a witty, handsome Irish Lawyer. Tom’s bad reputation and his arrogant nature lead to initial clashes between him and Jane. Soon the clashes turn into a budding romance. After trying other resorts, the two decide to run away. But later Jane realizes that this step will risk their family’s reputation and fortune. So she decides not to marry him and stays spinster all her life, while tom became chief justice of Ireland and named his eldest daughter Jane.

My Rating: 4.5/5
Reason
Jane’s aspiration to become a novelist, refusing to marry without love, and the power to wrestle the society in that era was applauding. I enjoyed the witty and teasing fights between him and Tom but the thing that fascinated me most was the unconditional love they had for each other and the feeling of sacrifice they both shared to see the other happy.
